座落中國境內，建築外觀卻充滿異國浪漫的線條，屋主經營織品貿易的生意，與歐美區域商業來往頻繁，這樣東西世界的交錯，就仿若織品經緯線的縱橫，一切，便始於紡織。

傳說中織女有著一雙巧手，負責編織天地間所有雲霧，像是留給世間來自天上的溫柔，便取祥雲薄霧繚繞於底層空間，帶來輕透明亮卻又能保有隱私的氛圍，朱紅的藝術塗料，暈出溫暖的色澤，也將吉祥寓意賦予整幢房屋。

從大門至梯廳，地上圓弧向內聚集的圖案，是織女手中一條向心的線團，總能為這個家找到秩序與定位，而由底層一路向上盤旋的螺旋大梯，似她迴轉的裙擺，閃著輕薄金亮的光輝，而扶手花紋是穿梭在機杼間的絲線，由疏到密紡出了這場華麗的圓舞曲。

空間在她的舞蹈中開展，向外發散的紗線，從中心畫圈出種種不同面貌。紋理細密織成緊密的組織，在空間中柔軟的分佈，沙發、抱枕、地毯、窗簾.....或輕羅細絲，或厚重扎實，豐富了空間的層次，東方的帝王金，西方的貴族藍，東西文明在空間中成了一件華美的織品，條條經緯緊密融合。看她梳手拈出寬鬆舒展的線，排列成能讓氣流來去自如的纖維，成為漫延於空間線版的金邊，三三兩兩間隔錯落，自由放鬆的遨遊在天地立面，包裹著精緻優雅的生活。

臥房裡是排列整齊的圖騰陳列，或是大面積印花隨機變化，那些漸變的紋理、暈染的花紋，表現著不同織品及不同的個性，而臥房外的迴廊地面似圓舞滑出的缐條，以一種向內聚攏又向外開展的姿態，圍著這個家的中心，翩然賜予一家人上下同心的祝福。
 

Weave

Located in Mainland China, this project took place in a building with an exterior embellished by exotic and romantic lines. The homeowner operates a textile business that trades frequently in Europe and the United States. The transactions between East and West thus bring to mind the vertical and horizontal lines that interlace into a piece of fabric, specifically, the imagery of weaving, where the story began.

In Chinese legend the Weaver Maiden is known for her skillful hands, with which she makes clouds and mists that hover between heaven and earth. Inspired by the divine gentleness she bestows to our world, we created a motif of auspicious clouds and mists to cultivate a transparent and bright yet private atmosphere for the lower level of the residence. The artistic red paint, on the other hand, gives the overall milieu a warm, propitious color tone.

From the front door to the stairway, the coils on the floor symbolize the central thread in the Weaver Maiden’s hand and provides order and anchor for this home. Meanwhile, the staircase spiraling upwards represent the Maiden’s delicate and glistening skirt as she twirls. The patterned handrail is the silk spinning from the weaver, gradually fashioning into a splendid, glamorous waltz.

The space unfolds as the Maiden dances, for her yarn spins into myriad sceneries. Densely woven, the textile becomes sundry manifestations across the space. Sofas, pillows, carpets, curtains... sometimes light, sometimes compact, every element enriches the space by bringing colorful layers of Eastern imperial gold, Western royal blue and many other shades. Here, Eastern and Western civilizations converge to form an exquisite piece of fabric produced by a tight network of crisscrossing lines. The Maiden combs through loose and stretched lines, as the fibers transform into air streams that permeate the space, before nestling into ornamental gold streaks. Partitions stand around in twos or threes, elegantly towering between heaven and earth to provide places for a wide range of functions.

In the bedroom, there are neatly arranged totem displays and a large area of spontaneous patterns. The gradation and splashes of those patterns reveal various textile characteristics and qualities. Outside, the floor of the corridor is adorned by curves as though outlined by the Maiden’s dancing feet. Furled or unfurled, these lines represent a dance of blessings to the family, right from the heart of the home.
