理性與感性：
垂直水平的空間線條與自由彎曲的傢飾輪廓，形成幾何與有機以及理性與感性的形體對話。
藉由漸層矩形天花板與方塊隔屏造型，強化層級式空間與軸線的理性關係；反射玻璃鏡面牆與透空水波薄紗門，引戶外山景與天色入室，帶出空間中的感性氛圍。
經典與時尚:
屋主典藏的古典傢俬在略帶冷調現代的空間中更顯溫潤與質樸，帶出獨有的特質；陳飾品之間當代與經典風格的對話，有一種衝突的美感也撞擊出時尚的品味。
私密與公共:
大大小小的中介空間的配置安排,加強了空間的鋪陳氛圍，讓私密與公共的關係不只是一門之隔，更是一種層級與過渡，也讓居者在一步一趨的物景變化中有了心靈的轉換空間。
Past and present seem to be conflict with each other. However, they are one after another. Most the present design or contemporary design are the result of time revolution. There is a invisible context between them. The designer is seeking the context and bring past and present together in the interior design. By using space, lines, and colors to merge past and present smoothly.
Vertical and horizontal lines create unlimited squares. Squares shrink gradually forms a invisible time path which goes through past and present. Meanwhile, unlimited squares enlarge and extend the entire spaces unexpectedly. Gradually shrink squares are spread from foyer to ceiling and partitions. Most squares are made by the see through silk sliding door and reflective mirror wall, the outdoor nature environment is brought into the rooms. Which promote the perceptual atmosphere inside. The whole interior is likely to be a time tunnel. It makes residence feel walking between different time zones. Various sized spaces are like time junction. They are no longer isolated rooms but the progress of time. Spiritual transformations are raised while residence pass through one another spaces.
If space and lines create the time tunnel between past and present, then colors are the main theme to merge the time zone and create the harmony atmosphere. By using slight cold color tone to bring up the antique collection, such as the buddha statue from Ming dynasty. It makes the living room more sophisticate and reflect residence’s taste.
Apart from the antique collection, the morden painting from artist Tommy Chen is likely to be a comfortable contrast. By choosing opposite color of old, gold is considered to be a morden and luxury color in this interior design. The gold wall sets off the painting and increase the luxury emotion of the room. Meanwhile it creates a vague line between past and present as well.
The designer use three basic elements to merge past and present. Through vertical and horizontal lines to pave the way for space. They are not only enlarge and extend the interior spaces but also create the relaxed atmosphere and time tunnel. Adding some cold color to bring up the antique texture and sophisticated manner. The designer merge the past and present in a cleaver way. Not only provide a comfortable living space and atmosphere, but also presents the residences taste.
